Driving to Prague

Today the girlfriend is picking up the keys to our flat in Prague.

Tomorrow morning I set out alone from Birmingham to London to get some stuff out of storage. Next stop is Folkestone where at about 3.30 I will have my first Channel Tunnel experience. From Calais I will head to Prague through Lille, Cologne, Frankfurt and Nuremberg which is apparently about 1100km of driving on the right. I will sleep in Germany, but I don't know when I will get really tired so I haven't booked anything.

If anyone sees a flaw in my plan or has any ideas for how to stay awake please let me know. Otherwise you can use this comments section for general comments, ideas etc.

I'll be out of action until just Sunday provided the wireless internet connection at the new flat works.

As promised, I've deleted some of the less popular posts.

I prepared this post as a draft so it looks like the post relates to Thursday. The post relates to today - Friday 28th.

Just because people have not commented on a post does not mean they have not read it or that it is unpopular.

Remember, "don't mention the war..."

Chris - Thanks for the encouragement. My profile views are a steady 20 to 25 a day and I got quoted in the Grauniad on Wednesday so I know that some people are taking an interest - but still no Lefties posting. I did say I would delete posts not receiving comments just to make sure that the discussion is lively.

The posts I have deleted have merely been mothballed and will return in some form at a more opportune moment.

I've found that Red Bull is a quite effective tiredness suppressant, and pulling at the hair at one's temples delivers a minor shock to the system too.

Meanwhile, good luck with the trip and the blogging. If you want to drag in some lefties, go and start a fight on one of their blogs.....

So, I hope you are luckily in Prague, right now... :-)

Really, quoted in the Guardian - have a link?

Ok. Made it to Prague. Got there at 11 yesterday. Not as bad as I thought. I only got my passport checked on the Czech border. I couldnt find a link to the Grauniad article. It was written by Ben Rooney and was a compilation of blogger comments on the CSA. I only have the hard copy from page 2 of the Guardian.
